My Journey to Becoming Design Chic
I’ve always been a straight-A student, but something horrible happened in the 3rd year of my bachelor’s degree. I failed the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) exam—twice! This was a shocker to me. I was so frustrated and determined to figure out what went wrong that I decided to dive deep into HCI.
As I started exploring, I discovered a genuine love for UX design. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know about design. That initial failure opened a door for me that I never saw coming.
Long story short, I pursued a master’s degree in HCI from Indiana University, Indianapolis.
A feather in my cap: What started as a massive setback turned into a big change that shaped my career in design.
Beyond My Work Life
Bookworm? No, I'm a Bookdragon
Since I was 13, I love getting lost in stories. Latest favorite: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. It helps me think metaphorically and relate to people quickly.
Guilty Pleasure: Bubble Tea
I'm totally obsessed with bubble tea. My personal favorite? Taro Milk Tea. If there's a bubble tea place nearby, you'll definitely find me there.
Sketching: My Happy Place
Digital sketching is my go-to escape, where I can relax, recharge and calm my mind. Sketch story: I realized my bagel looked better in red lipstick than I did.
